The Building
A converted historic building on Porthmeor Beach

What there is to do.
Porthmeor is a surf beach sheltered by two headlands, with rock pools at its western end. Tate St Ives sits on the same sand; the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and the Bernard Leach Pottery are a few minutes' walk. The Island — the headland between Porthmeor and Porthgwidden — is circled by a footpath, and one of the best places in Cornwall for wildflowers, seabirds, seals and dolphins.

On the water
Surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking and sea swimming from Porthmeor. Boards and lessons can be arranged before you arrive.
Art & making
Tate St Ives on the beach, the Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Leach Pottery, and a town full of independent galleries.
Walking
The South West Coast Path runs both ways — east to Carbis Bay and the Hayle Estuary, west towards Zennor and the rugged coves.
Eating
Porthminster Beach Café, the harbourside restaurants, and the annual St Ives Food Festival. A private chef can be arranged in the residence.
Golf
West Cornwall Golf Club at Lelant — a links course over the Hayle Estuary, looking towards Godrevy Lighthouse.
